Microsoft ประกาศ Official Name ของ Windows version ใหม่หลังจากใช้ code name “Windows Server 8” ในงาน MMS-2012 ที่ Las Vegas แล่้วชื่อว่า Windows Server 2012  ในงานได้เน้นเรื่อง Private Cloud โดยมี System Center 2012 และ Windows Server 2012 เป็นหลัก
